So, thanks to our families, we were able to enjoy an evening out. My sister watched the kiddos, and we redeemed our gift card at Outback Steakhouse. I had a martini that was made of tequila, lemonade, pomegranate, and lime. It was quite tasty. We had a carb overload of potato products with our steak.
When we got back to town, we tried a relatively new martini bar called Pazzo. It's in a 2 story industrial brick building that has been renovated. The first floor was closed, so we headed up to the second floor lounge. There were couches all over, a large fireplace and a small band warming up. We ordered our drinks and headed outside to their very large deck complete with built in fire pit. I would definitely go back. I had a Pazzo lemon drop (limoncello...yum!). If I could afford to sit around and drink $8 martinis all the time, I probably would! We stopped at Scotty's for a beer on the way home, too.
All the kids were relatively well behaved for Elizabeth. Cate was crabby, but went right to sleep, Cailey was happy, but screamed at bedtime, and Brodie was just all around good! Elizabeth said they read some books..."that creepy-a$$ I Spy book, and the Backyardigans Go to Jail."
Our evening ended with the neighbor kid's friends lighting firecrackers in our driveway at 10:30, waking up one of the babies. Tom went out and had a "talk" with those kids. They called him "sir." :snickersnort:
