I think we've found a preschool!

Yesterday, in the horrendous heat, I packed all 3 kids into the pre-air conditioned van, and drove downtown to check out a preschool. There was no parking lot, and there were steps leading up to the entrance, and then down a flight, and as we walked along the building I noticed that all the windows were open, so no A/C. I didn't even attempt to go in. We went back to the van, where I again, pre-air conditioned the van and loaded everyone back up, nearly suffering heat exhaustion after buckling 3 kids in, and loading up the double stroller.

Today, we went to the preschool at the church down the street from us. The only reason we didn't check this one out first was because the minimum enrollment was 3 half (or 2 full) days, which of course equals more money. It seemed to be the best choice. The preschool room is air conditioned, they have 2 teachers for every classroom, and they have an IMPRESSIVE playground area. It's fully enclosed/locked, and brand new. There are 3 steps to the main entrance which will be manageable. The teacher actually took us in a back way with no stairs, so I'm hoping to strike a bargain. Brodie seemed to like it, but did confide in me later that he wanted to go to other preschool at St. Mary's instead. I'm pretty sure that's because there were actually children there when we took a tour, and today the school was empty.

So I think we're going to bite the bullet, and pay the extra money and send him there 3 half days a week. He can start August 28th!
