HIGH SPEED INTERNET!!!! Well, almost. It's high-speed lite, but it's a heck of a lot faster than dial-up, AND I don't have to feel guilty about tying up the phone all day. Now I just have to feel guilty about neglecting my children, instead. j/k
Yesterday was lover-ly. Tom worked in the morning, and he assembled his early birthday present in time for it's maiden voyage. He got a new grill. *drool* It's much bigger than our old one which was slowly dying. Chris and Kim came down for "Pork-Off: The Throwdown," in which I baked pork chops, and Tom grilled pork chops. The clear winner was....my honey-lime salad dresssing that I made. The pork chops were good, but I was not "on my game," in my opinion, having overcooked them just slightly. Brodie used and abused "Kimmy," who is ever-so patient. She read countless books and built castles with him.
Today, the babies made Brodie and I laugh so hard at lunch. I've been trying to teach them to say, "Ma-Ma," and they try so hard, but it always comes out sounding like "Ba-Ba." So I said, "Say, 'Ma-Ma,'" and at the exact same time with the same inflection and tones, they said in perfect unison, "Ah-Ba-Ba," and in complete and utter shock, looked at each other. I think they were surprised to hear their voices come from somewhere else.
