This week has been so busy!!
Saturday, Tom and I headed into Chicago to meet some Pubbers at the Pubcrawl. There were so many people there; at least 40! We had Thai lunch at Star of Siam. Everyone was so nice, and I would have loved to have stayed for the whole weekend. It looks like they had so much fun the rest of the weekend. The next Pubcrawl in Seattle in May. :( Don't think I'll be able to make it. Later that night, Brodie and I carved his Jack O Lantern, and I roasted some pumpkin seeds.
Sunday was trick or treating. Brodie dressed as a ghost, and the girls were cows. Brodie loved Trick or Treating! The girls had had enough after about 45 minutes, so we went home while Tom and Brodie continued on.
Monday, Brodie and I made Halloween cut-out sugar cookies in the afternoon, and then I made a pot of chili and a pan of cornbread for dinner. I'm going to have some leftovers for lunch. Yummm... Then I stayed up until midnight, making some TREATS for Brodie's party at school.
Yesterday, Brodie dressed up again, and I dressed the girls up, too, and we took Brodie to the Halloween party at preschool. I picked him up a few hours later, got everyone home and got a phone call from the school that I had left the Duoglider (the Cadillac stroller) in the parking lot! *eek* I told the secretary that having twins means "Mommy Brain" times two! Tom came home at noon, and we took everyone to Children's Hospital for Cailey's appointment at the Torticollis clinic. I love Children's. We have been there so many times, and everyone is so wonderful and helpful there. Cailey got an excellent report.
The cause of her spasms will probably never be pinpointed, but she will grow out of them soon. Since they are episodic, we won't need anything drastic like Botox injections. She is to have 4-6 weeks of intensive PT once a week, concentrating on her abs. She basically need Baby Pilates. We have new exercises including "sit ups" to do with her to improve her muscle tone.
When we got home, Brodie took off his ghost cape and hat, and left on his long johns. I tried to wipe some of the white make up off, but he still looked extra pale. Between the hat head, long johns and pale face, he looked like this.
For dinner we had SAUSAGE MUMMIES and MOLDY BONES. :)
