Fox Force Five

All night, I kept thinking of the scene in Pulp Fiction where Jules and Vincent were discussing Vincent's upcoming "date" with his bosses' wife, Mia. Jules was explaining that Mia had been an actress on a pilot that failed, called Fox Force Five. He then proceeded to explain to Vincent what a pilot was, and how it worked. But I digress...Tom was chosen to watch a pilot last night. This network had called Tom months ago to set this up, and last night was the night. They told him nothing about it. All they said was that it was on one of the Public Access channels at 7pm, it was about 25 minutes long, and they would be calling shortly after the show ended to ask him questions. I did not watch the entire thing, as I was on baby round-up, but the main character in this pilot was Donal Logue!!! If you are unfamiliar with the name, he was in The Tao of Steve, and he was the dad on Grounded for Life. If that still doesn't mean anything to you, he looks EERILY like Tom. Check it out if you don't know what I'm talking about. http://imdb.com/name/nm0006610/ Right away, I knew Tom was going to like this show. The plot line is a bunch of rejects/misfits/drunks/friends who decide they are going to rob Mick Jagger. Mick Jagger even filmed scenes for this. Not sure how long it will last if it makes it to air; how far can you go with that, I wonder? Anyway, the network called and asked Tom a slew of questions, and in pure Tom fashion, he asked twice as many questions back.

Yesterday was uneventful. Today we have playgroup, which always takes a lot out of me. Tomorrow, one of my best friends from high school (and the only H.S. friend I keep in touch with) is coming to stay for the weekend. I'm very excited! I haven't seen her in 3 years. I foresee booze and smokes in my weekend forecast. I'm sure after spending a weekend in the monkey house, she'll be running, screaming to her car on Sunday. Pazzo.

So wear out the kids one day, and mom the next? And yeah, it's a scary resemblance. But isn't there some sort of nondisclosure he was supposed to sign?
