If it's not one thing it's another...

Today, in addition to my feeding/diapering/general childcare duties, I have done laundry, dishes, made baby food (prunes-mmmm....) worked on cleaning out my closet, played with Brodie, showered, and cleaned out the freezer. How come I still feel like I can't get anything done?

The babies are teething, full force. Cate has been wailing and moaning all morning. I thought I was brilliant when I dragged the Exersaucers into the kitchen and turned on the ceiling fan. Babies love watching fans. I planned to make another batch of baby food and straighten up the kitchen (yet again). Wrong-o. Cate started screaming and shaking when I turned on the ceiling fan. Who's afraid of a ceiling fan I ask you?

I also watered my daisies with Diet Sprite today. I saw a glass of what I thought was water on the counter and dumped a little into each pot. I didn't understand why the soil was fizzing until I got a whiff of lemon/lime. Who knows, maybe it will help. I got everyone down for a nap at noon, and the neighbor's lawn service shows up. Perfect. Nothing like the soothing sounds of weed whackers and a lawn mower big enough to mow Soldier Field to lull children to sleep. I WILL get these kids outside today, come hell or high water.
