I think I'm a better mindframe today than the past few days. It helps that Tom was around this morning to help with feedings, breakfast, etc. It also probably helped that I escaped for a few hours last night (Thanks, Bill!). I felt oddly unaffected after three Citron and 7s. We went to the Port, where I haven't been in at least four years. It was always an eclectic crowd, with music to match. Last night can only be described as "Cock Rock" night. Being the '80s music afficionado that I am, I recognized Warrant, Skid Row, Twisted Sister, David Lee Roth (sans Van Halen), just to name a few. Then I come home to find Tom watching the "Most Metal Moments" on VH-1 and a Judas Priest concert on VH-1 Classics (Judas Priest on VH-1 Classics....let's all pause as that sinks in). What an odd night of music. I wish I had some Dio to listen to right now.
Today I've already given the girls their baths, and I need to make some carrot baby food, and a cake for tomorrow. I plan to escape once more when Tom returns from his adventures. Perhaps Kohl's and the grocery store. Now I must go dig through my 80's rock collection.

I was thinking of you when I heard that Poison and Cinderella are coming to Chicago with their 20th ANNIVERSARY tour. Ouch.
