Wednesday was our first playgroup at the park. We were at Washington Park, and of course we were the first ones there. The park itself has lots of parking--on the lower level. The playground is on the upper level, which means if you happen to have a stroller, the only place to park is on a SUPER busy street and play Frogger with your three children. Obviously we made it. Brodie had a good time. It's so nice to see him play with other children. The babies rode in swings (their too big to sit back to back in the baby swings, though). Cailey especially liked swinging.
Yesterday, my sister-in-law arrived. Brodie is very excited to have a roomie! This morning I took Brodie on a field trip with our playgroup. It was a "nature walk" of sorts around the park. He was very good. He played nicely, used the potty at the park :gross:, found pinecones, and was the best listener at story time. We went to look at the flower garden at the park, and the sprinklers were on. All the kids took off and headed into the maze of flowers and sprinklers leaving all of the moms to decide how badly we needed to chase our kids! I did no chasing. Brodie shared his snack with one of his friends, and made a special art project for Daddy. Of course then we got home, and it was back to the same old routine.
