Dinosaurs.

Yesterday was the first "family time" we've had in a week. We hung around the house in the morning, and after lunch, Tom's parents came over. We went to check out the new Dinosaur Museum. It was just okay. I'm hoping since it just opened that they will add more. There's an upper level with a few dinosaur skeletons that are cool, a gift "shop" (more of a stand than a shop), and a model of a dinosaur. Tom asked Brodie, "Do you know what kind of dinosaur this is?" and Brodie replied, "It's a dilophosaurus." Tom paused, checked the plaque, and said, "Yeah...it is." The lower level is a paleontology "classroom" used by a local college with a viewing window. Brodie seemed to enjoy himself, and didn't notice that we were in and out in 15 or 20 minutes.

After the dinosaurs, we headed over to the St. Mary Festival. Tom's parents remarked that the church festivals in their area are far less elaborate and much less fun than here. We didn't stay very long. I didn't see anyone I knew (other than two eighth grade boys that either didn't recognize me or were too "cool" to come say hi to their former 1st grade teacher. ;) We had a snack, Brodie bounced in the castle, played a few games, and we left. We headed home, and Tom's parents headed back to their hotel. Later, we met up with them once more for dinner. We had dinner at Genesis in West Allis, and met up with Tom's godmother, as well. All three kids were remarkably well behaved, and dinner was thankfully uneventful. We said our goodbyes and took a picture of the kids with Grandma and Grandpa.
