I'm starting to relish the weekends. It's nice to have an extra set of hands. This morning, Tom and Brodie went to get Brodie's haircut. I put the babies down for a nap at 9:00 (Cate pitched everything out of the crib, but didn't cry) and woke them up at 10:30. I took some very funny pictures today of Tom sitting in the playard with all 3 kids crawling all over him. They love Daddy!
After lunch, we headed to the outlet mall to check out the new stores and get some fresh air and exercise. We walked back and forth between the old section and the new section, and browsed and window shopped. Brodie and Tom both made me laugh today. Brodie pointed across the parking lot at the Sony outlet and said, "Look, that says 'Sony' like on my T.V.!" Then we went in the Coach outlet so I could gaze wantonly at purses. Tom picked up a wallet, inspected it's "outlet" price of $149, and said, "But you get a purse WITH this, right?" Oh you sad, deluded little man. tsk-tsk
We drove around by the lake when we were done, and took everyone home. The girls napped for about an hour while Tom made braciole for dinner. It was very good, especially for a first attempt (Lord knows, I've never tried making it!) Everyone played after dinner, and Cate went back to screaming, crying, and throwing at bedtime. She calmed down after I stayed up there for a while rubbing her back. Tom and Bill are out having their ritualistic beverages, while I sit here bouncing back and forth between my message boards and some other websites. I have had the T.V. off since 7:30, and am enjoying....what is it, again? Oh, yes...SILENCE!
