Longest weekend is FINALLY over.

Everyone is better, and we're back to the normal routine. Cailey is still a bit under the weather, but she's in good spirits, and on the mend. Tom went back to work today after being off since Wednesday, and Brodie went back to preschool after missing last Wednesday, and no school on Friday.

Saturday night we put up the Christmas tree. Brodie had a lot of fun helping fluff the branches and hang ornaments. He also ate popcorn and watched Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas (or as he calls it, "Emmet Otter's Junk-band Being Christmas") and got to view our tree lights through the "magic glasses" from Nana. Tom's dad was also released from the hospital.

After everyone was asleep we assessed the tree situation and put the playard around it. The girls now have free roam of the living room and hallway. We have gates for the kitchen and living room doorways so that the girls can play in the hallway if I need to fix a meal or they get into too much. I am doing a lot of running and chasing now, as the girls have been perfecting their "divide and conquer" routine. While one makes a mad dash for the computer the other will try to pull the lamp over or grab a handful of CDs off the shelf. This is MUCH different than when Brodie was this age.

Sunday, we had our "Thanksgiving" which did not go well. There was lots of crabbing, whining, and some throwing up. Tom and I put the kids to bed and each had a nice stiff drink. Let's hear it for the holidays. Hoo-ray. ;)

Nah...They'd just figure out how to use 4 hands and 2 brains to their benefit. It would be like having a crazed 2 headed octopus thrashing about my house.
