Today (although I certainly didn't act like someone in the holiday spirit), I made a batch of jujulenas (sesame seed cookies), and I made dough for sugar cookies and gingerbread. Last night I wrapped some gifts, too. Tom asked today if the Jingle Bells by the Barking Dogs is on EVERY Christmas CD we own. Nope. It just feels like it. Ha!
Tonight, we headed out to my sister and BIL's. We were greeted with travel mugs of hot chocolate, and everyone piled in the van, and we headed out to Candy Cane Lane. Brodie was a bit too fixated on the "candy cane" part as he had to point out every single candy cane within a square mile of decorated houses.
Highlights of the evening:
~Santa stopped at our van and talked to Brodie
~We received free beef sticks for making a donation to the MACC fund
~I got to listen to Elizabeth squeal in disgust as she was slapped with spit-sodden bunnies by the babies for the entire trip. LOL
After we dropped Elizabeth and Chris off, Brodie fell asleep immediately, but those girls stayed awake the whole trip. I heard someone babbling upstairs until after 9:30. Please, Santa, PLEASE let Brodie sleep past 6:30 tomorrow. I've been good, I swear.
Tomorrow our friends and their son are coming over in the afternoon. We're going to have baked rigatoni. I may do some more baking in the morning. I'm pretty tired...I should probably turn in.
P.S. Here is my new favorite video. It's very short.
