I survived yesterday.

Yesterday was the kind of day that makes me question my existence. It was bad. Sell-the-kids-to-the-gypsies-and-run-away-to-a-tropical-location bad. I learned that I can be outsmarted and manipulated by a 4 year old in multiple ways. I learned that a 41 pound child jumping on my head at 5:30 am is an effective, albeit annoying wake-up call. I learned that you can give a baby too many dried cranberries. I learned that too many dried cranberries has the same effect as too many raisins. I learned that while you're changing every poopy diaper, the other baby will want to crawl all over you and interfere in every way possible. I learned that babies will pull a lamp off a table more times than I can count. Same goes for crawling under the computer desk. I learned that Cate can cry herself to sleep on the floor under my chair if left to do so.

I told Tom that the only thing I could be credited with yesterday was keeping the children alive. He told me that I did a great job, and it's a hard task since there are 3 of them.

I ran out the door before dinner was over to attend an American Idol party at a former co-workers house. I don't even watch AI, but I was thankful for wine, food, and adult conversation (my money's on Chris Sligh, BTW).

Oh..today is Ash Wednesday. I hope nobody tries putting ashes on Brodie's head at school. He will FREAK out.

I want to say Happy Birthday to my Dad today, too!!! Happy Birthday!
