Postage increase.

I got this letter from a local Realtor.

Greetings!

As you probably know, our U.S. Postage Service increases the cost of a first class letter from $.39 to $.41 on May 14, 2007. We are enclosing ten $.02 stamps because we do not want our American Economy to get into a tailspin over this seemingly innocuous increase.

Have you considered the actual financial impact of the $.02 increase to our American Economy? We have.

Lets assume 10 million Americans make a special trip to purchase $.02 stamps taking an average of 30 minutes round trip. Let's assume the average hourly value of their time is $12 per hour (conservatively speaking). In this projection, the cost/time value of 10 million Americans buying $.02 stamps is SIXTY MILLION DOLLARS. Wow! We take comfort in the fact that our simple gesture of sending out ten $.02 stamps has saved our country a bundle in lost productivity.

As Always,

XXXXXXXX
Broker/Owner/Realtor
XXXXX Realty

Oh By the Way.... By now you are probably feeling indebted to us, Big Time. That's okay. Just keep us in mind and give us a call when you or your acquaintances have real estate needs. We will save you time, money and hassles. We value your business and referrals.

That's awesome. I'm a Realtor and that's right up my alley.

Nice blog. Stumbled upon it from a friend of a friend. . . .
