A new beginning...

I mentioned in a previous post that Cailey will drink out of a 2 handled sippy cup. We have been "practicing" with juice and water at snack time. This morning, I was brave and gave the girls their milk in the handled sippies and they both drank all of their milk by themselves!! This may not sound very exciting to most of you, but if you have ever had the "joy" of feeding two huge squirming babies at the same time, you know how much time this will free up for me. I can now give the girls their sippies and prepare meals while they drink, and that means we can eat as a family more often, instead of in shifts.

Tom's parents will be here sometime today. Brodie is excited about seeing Grandma and Grandpa. He hasn't seen them since Thanksgiving. We'll have to figure out some dinner plans.

Here are today's Brodie-isms:
**"I know that when people get big they are either big kids, grown-ups, or pizza makers."
**Last night after returning from the store, he excitedly informed me that he saw the fish (at the meat counter) and their heads are back on!

I also have realized over the last week or so that my son is reading. He keeps pointing to words here and there and telling me what they say, and he types some of them on the computer. After realizing this, I checked the first 20 words on the Dolsch list (100 most commonly used words in English), and he read 13/20. Plus he knows other words not on the list. Things are going to get very interesting around here. Tom and I aren't going to be spelling 'forboten' words much longer!
