Before I get into the lessons, let me do a quick rundown.
Dog track: Much fun was had, we didn't lose our "ruffled shirts."
Tom's "old" job: Tom's going away party was a hit. He was touched and a bit sentimental.
St. Patty's Day: Evil leprechaun left green footprints everywhere and caused mischief, leaving his shoe behind. Green toast, milk, and eggs for breakfast, Guinness Corned Beef for dinner
Tom's first day: Tom was nervous but did great. He's enjoying his new job, and his proximity to many fun stores and eateries
Cailey: her PT eval is on the 4th. Cailey has learned to pull down curtain rods, and climb onto a milk crate on all fours.
Cate:Cate can empty a wipe box in under a minute, STAND on the milk crate, and loves to wave and say hi.
Brodie: Wants to know if bats poop hanging upside down.
Saturday: I whipped up 2 gallons of homemade laundry soap. Point and laugh, now.
Yesterday: Gorgeous day spent flying a kite and playing at the park.
Okay...Lessons learned while playing outside with 3 kids:
1. Babies don't know how to catch soccer balls. Especially when their backs are turned.
2. Rocks are not a tasty snack.
3. Leaves are not a tasty snack.
4. Mulch...not tasty.
5. Sidewalk chalk...again, not tasty.
6. If you are unable to walk, then you should not use the bench swing to pull up to a stand.
7. When you learn lesson 6, you should at least attempt to get out of the way to avoid being hit in the forehead multiple times w/ the afforementioned swing.
8. My 4 y/o can catch a Frisbee like nobody's business.
9. I cannot.
10. My 4 y/o took great pleasure in teaching me lesson #9.
11. 4 y/o, while adept at playing Frisbee, may not be ready for screw top bubbles.
12. On Saturday, I may need to hose out the deck box :bubbly:.
