Cailey is walking around like Frankenstein more often now. She almost walks like she has a peg-leg. She has a check-up later this week. For a kid who waited so long to walk, she sure makes up for it in different ways. The other day she was crawling up on the couch, and when I turned around she was on the back of the couch, on her knees, stretched up as far as she could get.
They love to count from 5-11. Cate yells, "YEVEN!" at the end, and most other things in this house are punctuated by "Yay!" Still not too many other words. Brodie on the other hand may have too many words.
He has been dying to go to a Chinese restaurant to "eat dumplings with chopsticks," so I took him to a Chinese restaurant on Saturday. He has it in his head that he wants to eat jellyfish (???), but I don't see that happening around here. Anyway, he did quite well, and was adamant on using the chopsticks for EVERYTHING.
We went to a party that day, and on the way home, he told me:
"Hey, Mommy. Rufus just called me on my imaginary phone. He was barking at me. He said that he found my license so I can drive to Dog Heaven to get him. It turns out my license was behind the bushes the whole time!"
(Me: "Uh....okay. What else did Rufus say?")
"He said that there's no shots in Dog Heaven."
This week in the heat of an argument, he has also told me that my birthday is cancelled, and that I am not bee-yoo-tee-ful anymore.
On a "me" note: Phase one of my SAHM overhaul is nearly complete, and Phase two has been put into motion. I have a new hair-do as af Monday, with possibly some highlights to come, and I had a LASIK consult yesterday. I'll be having LASIK done to both eyes in a month.
