Yesterday we had a cookout, with Nancy, her 4 boys our kids and Bill. It was a little crazy. The babies decided at 12:30 that they were NOT napping, and the events up in their bedroom can only be described as histrionics. We got them dressed and brought them outside to play with the boys. Cailey managed to dump water all over herself, and then plop down and eat a handful (or two or three) of dirt.
We ate early, and since Cailey had already snacked on dirt
, they just ate some fruit. I took them in, gave them a bath and put them to bed at 5 pm. They slept all night, until 6 am. Thank GOD. The rest of the evening was a little more relaxing for me. Brodie had an excellent time and was filthy and exhausted by 7:30.I think I fell asleep on the couch a little after 9.
