Big people food!

Yesterday I gave the girls rice cakes. I was so pleased! They played with them for a while, but then they just started munching away. They loved them, and they are much less messy than the biscuits and cookies that the baby food companies make. I decided it's time to plow ahead with the solids. I don't think I'll make any more babyfood. This morning was a REAL milestone for me. I made ONE breakfast for everyone. All 3 kids had toast, Cheerios, and pears. I think the girls did fairly well. I had to feed it to them, although they did each manage to pick up some toast and get it into their mouths. New doors are opening. Maybe plain pancakes or waffles tomorrow! Pasta! Cheese! Real food!!!!! I do need to start meat soon. I'm thinking I'll make spaghetti and meatballs and just bake some plain meatballs for them with some plain pasta. I'm so excited! Now if they would just hold their own bottles so we can phase those out...
