Pack up the babies.

So, Monday I made spaghetti sauce and meatballs for dinner. I made some plain tomato sauce with ground beef and broken whole wheat pasta for the girls, and froze it into spaghetti cubes. Could be good in Bloody Marys....

Yesterday, I fed and dressed everyone, had the van packed full of baby equipment and all the kids, and pulled out of the driveway at 8:05 A.M. THAT is an accomplishment! We drove to my Grammie's for lunch. Yesterday was her birthday. My mom was there, and my (2nd?) cousin, Nancy. Brodie was so happy to be there, and was very good. He was kept occupied with the piano, a coloring book, and doughnut holes, of course. We had sandwiches for lunch, and Brodie's favorite dessert...pound cake with Cool Whip and blueberries (and strawberries, too)! I put one candle in the pound cake, and Brodie said, "Grammie's one year old?" Oh, and of course since I have "twin brain," I put the candle in upside down. :duh:

The babies didn't sleep much in the car so they were pretty ornery after lunch. My mom had to hold Cate in order for her to sleep, and could NOT put her down, and Cailey fell asleep on the floor. We finally were able to set Cate down next to Cailey, and Cailey promptly woke up and took advantage of the situation. She was inspecting her sleeping sister; patting her face, stealing her pacifier, rolling on her...

Everyone napped in shifts on the way home.

Tomorrow, this place is going to be a MADHOUSE. I just found out that I'm having company. Two of my college roomies are going to come visit with their kids. Sherri is bringing her 6 week old daughter, and Sarah is bringing her twin girls (2 weeks younger than mine), and her 3 year old daughter! I'm taking pictures! I'm looking forward to it.
