10 months old.

It's still strange to me that ten months ago I was coming out of surgery from having 2 babies. The girls had a check-up yesterday. They are doing great! They are very big and tall girls. Cate is 22 pounds, 15 ounces and she is 31-3/4 inches tall. Cailey is 23 pounds, 2 ounces, and she is 29 inches tall. They are both in the 95th percentile for weight, Cailey is also in the 95th for height. Cate is way off the charts as far as height. She's getting too tall for her ExerSaucer. As soon as she is pulling up to standing, we're putting one saucer away. The doctor was amazed at how they are completely eating table food, and both are using a pincer grip. He told me that I shouldn't be in a hurry for them to learn to walk. Umm....duh! Sometime this week, I will begin to transition the girls from formula to milk, very slowly. They will stay on their Prevacid until their birthday, and Cailey is going to continue her PT sessions.

Yesterday, while I was at the doctor with the girls, our neighbor Frank, came over to ask Tom if he could help him put in his window A/C. Tom and Brodie went next door, and while Tom put in the A/C, Brodie sat in Frank's living room, watching Cops on TV (Frank gets 4 channels). When Tom was done, Frank told Brodie he was a good helper, and he gave him 2 dollars. Today we're going to write a thank-you to "Mr. Frank."

Last night, Elizabeth came over to "hang out" with Brodie while I was tutoring downstairs. Brodie had her in hysterics with his patented brand of knock-knock jokes. Here is an example: "Knock-knock." (who's there?) "Crayon." (crayon who?) "Knock-knock." (who's there?) "Crayon." (crayon who?) "Knock-knock." (who's there?) "Pencil." (pencil who?) "Crayon you glad I didn't say pencil?"

Today is supposed to be HOT. 95 with a bazillion percent humidity. Tom's working some overtime this morning, and I think this afternoon he and Brodie will go grocery shopping. Tomorrow is supposed to be just as hot, so tomorrow, I may set up the kiddie pool.

I want to say congratulations to our friends Laura and Jason who are expecting in March! I told her I hope she's having twins, and Tom said that was mean. They are moving from Madison to the Milwaukee area in August, so I am excited to spend some more time with them!
