Yesterday morning, Brodie and I went to the store to buy a kiddie pool. I filled it up and learned that our yard has no level spots. Brodie's behavior was less than stellar while he waited for the pool to warm up. Tom took him grocery shopping after lunch and about 15 minutes after they left, the power went out. It was out for over an hour...oh, and of course it was HOT and the babies were napping upstairs. I finally decided it was too hot up there, so I set up the Pack N Play in the basement, went up "top," carried a baby down, lather-rinse-repeat...and about 10 minutes later the power came back on. 15 minutes later Tom and Brodie came home.
About an hour later, the power went out AGAIN. I left Tom with the babies and took Brodie out "poolside." Brodie had a blast, and we "swam" for about an hour. The power came back on shortly after we came in. Apparently there was a tree across the street that was interfering with the power lines in the wind, so they lopped the whole top of the tree off.
I went to Scotty's for a few drinks last night...it was very nice outside. Today we're off to Cheryl and Mike's for dinner and a kiddie play date.
I've got someone from my message board sending me a few different types of diapers to try out so I don't have to guess at sizes. Still waiting for my AIO's to come in the mail. The lady who makes them was on vacation until the 30th, so I don't think they're done yet. I'm so impatient.
