We had a light and early dinner and headed over to the festival. I think everyone enjoyed themselves. Brodie played a lot of the kid games and came home with "fabulous prizes." He came home with a back scratcher, a yo-yo, a foam plane, a dolpin eraser (to erase pencil marks, not dolphins), chalk, a stuffed turtle and a Triceratops tattoo. He played the duck pond, the lollipop tree, basketball shoot, baseball toss, goldfish bowl toss (tossing ping-pong balls not goldfish bowls),a kid's raffle, and he got to go in the big Spiderman bouncy house thingy.
A few funny moments were when Brodie actually won a prize at the lollipop tree and was bummed because he didn't get the lollipop, he tossed the ping-pong ball left-handed and got it in a goldfish bowl on the first try (thank God, the prizes were not live fish), and when the lady at the tattoo booth got out the wrong dinousaur tattoo, and he had to tell her, "That's ankylosaurus, not Triceratops."
They had consolation prizes at all the kids' booths so everyone was a "weiner." We ate cotton candy, too. That was a big hit! The babies held out surprisingly well, too. Next year hopefully we can stay later, and the girls can enjoy some of the festival treats.
