Yesterday, I planted my garden in the morning and then we decided to head into Chicago and go to Millenium Park. Halfway there, we changed our minds and went to Lincoln Park Zoo instead. It was crowded, but we all had a good time. The girls didn't notice many animals, I don't think. On the way home, we stopped for pizza at Lou Malnati's in Lincolnwood. We were all pretty tired by the time we got home.
Today, we went to Target to buy some new shades for our windows (the girls have just been pulling the drapes out of the wall). We stopped at the new Ben & Jerry's in town for a scoop, too. No Americone Dream. Harrumph.
Tom is making a brisket on the charcoal grill, along with some flatbread. The kids played outside all afternoon (had to bring in the girls a little early, though). I think tonight will be baths, and finishing hanging the new shades.
